Reference Logger [example report]
Reference Logger is written to simply open up a standard reference log and print out only the lines that show hits from outside your site. It also prints them as links, so you can just click to view the sites linking to you. This is particularly helpful when the link is provided from a search engine, as you can go right to that page and see what keywords were used, and what listing you received.

If your server has a referer_log, and it is located in the default directory, the script should work without any configuration. Just rename it to logger.cgi, upload it in ASCII mode to your site, and make sure it has execute permissions. Then, enter the url of the script into your browser.

This script comes as is, use it at your own risk.

Error Robot
Error Robot works in conjunction with .htaccess and Apache servers, to create custom error pages. It takes this a step further by sending the webmaster an email, containing the attempted URL, browser used, and referring site, if available.

To install, just rename it to errorbot.cgi, upload it in ASCII mode to your site, and make sure it has execute permissions. I included an auto setup routine, that should work with standard UNIX setups. To run the auto setup, run the script through your browser, followed by "?setup". So, if you installed this script in your cgi-bin, enter http://www.yourdomain.com/cgi-bin/errorbot.cgi?setup into your browser. This will create the necessary files, including adding the ErrorDocument lines to your .htaccess file. (These lines are added to the bottom of your .htaccess file, so this should work with Front Page enabled sites. Existing lines of .htaccess are left in place.) The script may also be configured manually, and the auto setup disabled.

I have made every attempt to make this script safe and server friendly, but I am not responsible for the results of it's use. Script is provided as is, use at your own risk.
