1. Launch Outlook Express

• Use your mouse to click on the Start menu.
• Mouseover Programs to display the secondary Programs menu.
• Mouseover Outlook Express and click once to launch the program.
• If Outlook Express does not appear on the Programs menu, review your software installation process.

2. Open the Internet Accounts dialog

• Once the program is active click on the Tools menu.
• Mouseover Accounts... and click once to open the Accounts dialog.

3. Launch the Internet Account Wizard

• Click the Add button in the upper right to display the Add menu.
• Mousover the Mail... option and click once to display the Internet Account Wizard.

4. Add your Name

• In the Display name Field enter your name as you would like it to appear in the From field of your outgoing messages.
• Click Next

5. Add your new email address

• Enter youraddress@yourdomain.com in the email address field.
• Click Next

6. Add Your Email Server Information

• Select POP3 from the drop down menu as your incoming server type.
• Enter mail.yourdomain.com for the incoming mail (POP3) or (IMAP) server.
• Enter mail.yourdomain.com again for the outgoing mail (SMTP) server.
• Click Next

7. Enter Email Account Information

• In the Account name field type youraddress@yourdomain.com. (Your email address is your account name)
• In the Password field type the password for your email account.
• Make sure the box to Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) remains unchecked.
• Click Next

8. Finish

• Once you have completed entering the settings above the Congratulations Screen is displayed.
• Click Finish to save your settings.

Autocheck Messages

Now that your new email account has been setup, you will want to tell the server to check for new messages. The following steps will take you through the process.

9. Open the Options Window

• With Outlook Express open click on the Tools menu.
• Mouseover Options... and click once to open the Options window.

10. Options Window: General Tab

• Click on the General Tab if it is not already the active tab.
• Make sure the box to Check for new messages every is checked.
• Enter 15 minutes (or less) by either typing directly or using the arrows.
